We are excited to announce the reformation of the Australian Syrian Arab Charitable Association Inc. For the past several years the community has
not been operating due to the Syrian Conflict in our homeland. Due to the influx and increasing numbers of Australian Syrians, this community is
now re-established.
The Association has been rebranded as Australian Syrian League (ASL). With the interim committee responsible to get the community to a formal election in 2019, over the next few months we will be having a Membership Recruitment Drive.
As a collective group we will be donating our time and resources including contacts in legal departments and accounting firms to ensure the foundation of this Association is solid and ready for the new executive committee. No funds from the Association will be used by the interim committee. The interim committee will have no influence on the new committee.

There is a consensus by the old committee and agreeance from all that the movement forward must consist of a proactive, younger and more energetic group with no political, religious attachments.
There will be no positions held in this interim committee. The main point of contact will be Dr Mamdouh & Mr George Alrahil. The interim committee will attempt between 3 months to 6 months to get the Association to an election. The desired goal by the interim committee will be to achieve between 300- 500 paid members.
This association has goal and aspirations to serve and bring the Australian Syrians in NSW closer together. Unity is possible. Home away from home.
Re-establish the foundation of this association with the creation of a new constitution for the Association that specifically deals with the mechanism by which the Association is run.
The interim committee will be responsible to ensure that the new constitution will cover all imperative restrictions, rules and process
The new constitution will be sourced from the Fair-Trading NSW website and will form the foundation.
Certain limitations surrounding expenditure of funds must be highlighted in the constitution
We must also set guidelines on how documentation is to be kept
The strict inclusion that committee members must have no political and religious associations
Create position titles that the association would require to guarantee its success in the future
Such positions will be donated time , Donated time will provide the member an opportunity to be an official sponsor of the association, This is to assist those who donate time and resources to promote their commercial interests within the Syrian Community

The interim committee will hold 1 events which will be promoted as a gathering and a form of awareness of the community.
The interim committee, alongside other members will do their best to sign up members on the above events as well as during their day to day life.
